Hi,

There was a time where you've said that the release of FloboPop (FloboPuyo sequel) on Windows was nearly done.
There were beta relases and al (1 year ago)l. Even a Youtube clip showing that it was on it's way.

After, you decided to port it to the iPhone, so the Windows version was delayed.

Don't be mistaken, FloboPuyo is very good but it lacks 2 players over network ...
I also read that network play was nearly OK but then no more news ...

So the question is, do you plan to release a Windows Version of FloboPop ? And if the answer is yes, can you tell us all a release date ?

Thank you

True we weren't that far but we decided to direct all our effort on the iPhone port, because we wanted to try making some money for living with our work before giving it for free (I think you can understand this).

As you may have noticed, current iPhone version was released without the network option enabled. The game still suffers random disconnections, but Flo is working on this at the moment. Unfortunately for you, he'll be in holidays for 3 weeks so  you'll have still to wait a little. Once this is fixed, no more development efforts will be put into the iPhone version and we'll get back to work on FloboPop for desktop computers.

However, I cannot promise any release date: we have ongoing deadlines on other projects too.

Thanks for taking such a great interest in FloboPop, I promise we are doing our best and that your patience will be rewarded with a funnier game than ever!

Thanks for the quick reply.

I fully understand that you try to make money with this game. I hope you'll do (If people try this game they'll buy it on iPhone I think, cause it's great).

I just thought you were going to release the windows version and the iPhone version at the same time because a desktop version is not a threat to a paid version on iPhone. So it was not obvious if the desktop version was still planned.
You can even accept Paypal donations on all your desktop freewares. I think it's fair.

I understand you have many projects, but with so much time passed waiting for the desktop version that I thought it will never come.
Now that you've said it's still a work in progress we'll all wait until you decide it's time.

I'll just hope it will be released soon ... cause I (and many friends of mine) can't wait to play one against each other over network.

Can you post some news about the work in progress ? It'll be easier for everyone to wait.
Maybe post the betas ? What do you think ? I can live with bugs and crashes sometimes if I can play it more or less ;-)

Keep up the good work.
Have a nice day and may Flo have a good holiday too.

It's very nice to hear that there are people expecting so much from our work. As I realize now, there are people willing to read news about the progress, so I'll write more.

For now, I'm working to make a cinematic trailer for the game. This as some importance as we're willing to do marketing for the iPhone version.

Pure Paypal donations have shown to be very ineffective with our previous games. We hardly received more than 20$ per year! So we are considering making donation part of internet game registration process (like Radiohead once did while selling their album online). People may chose to pay only $0.01, or give more if they feel generous. This still isn't decided, but I think it should make people understand that there is work and people behind the free stuff.

I'll keep you informed!

Best regards.
